Dave Byron received 2000 (2nd annual) Great Communicator

In December 2000, Dave Byron, APR, received the 2003 Great Communicator Award from the Volusia County (now Volusia-Flagler) Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Assn.

He received the award for practicing "consistent and effective communications as a spokesperson and for significant volunteer contributions to the local community."

Byron, Community Information Director for Volusia County Government, was introduced by John  E. Evans, APR, CPRC. Byron held a captive audience as he spoke on the four things it takes to be successful in communicating: performance, effort, credibility and integrity.

The annual great communicator award was to honor those who demonstrated strong communication skills and service to the community.
